The other half woke me today to tell me our bin had been taken by a neighbour. We noticed last night that her bin had not been put out for collection, and then today she took ours in...
Perhaps she was drunk last night, and still drunk today...Or there may be a reason I am not aware of. However, when I went and knocked on her door (because the other half was too chicken), there was no answer. I knocked a few times, then went round the back of her house to inspect the bin. I was more than satisfied it was ours (you get to know your own bin quite intimately). I knocked her front door again, and still no answer. So I took it. I went round and, embracing my assertive self, I took it.
I brought it into my rear garden, and proceeded to fill it with our rubbish, which is surprisingly a lot considering there are only two of us in the house. I then got the gloss out (yes, non-drip) and painted
The rest of our day has been spent decorating and going in and out of our local DIY store. We are quite productive when we get started. We have even papered a ceiling today! We are taking a rest at the moment, and the other half is cooking a chicken curry. It smells lovely.
I'm off to enjoy my dinner, nan bread in hand. Tomorrow we will hopefully get the kitchen finished too.
