50 Facts About Me (Star Child)

I wanted to blog about something. I can't sleep and thought I should put this "extra time" to good use.

I had meant to compile a list a while back, and never actually got round to it.

Well, here it is. 50 facts about me.

1. I am from Ayrshire, Scotland.

2.This year I emigrated to Oz.

3. My favourite number would have to be 5. Or maybe 3. 10 has a nice ring to it too. No, no, 5 it is.

4. I know all the details of my birth. I loved hearing the story of me being born.

5. I was born at 7.56 am on a Thursday.

6. When I was born, I weighed 7lbs 14oz, and I had skin the colour of caramac. Yes, that means I was probably jaundiced. 
But I was beautiful.

7. My star sign is cancer, the most psychic of the zodiac.

8. Because I am born under the sign of cancer, I have the power to read minds.

9. I made number 8 up. Maybe.

10. I have a degree, with merit, in Nursing. I wanted to help people, in a structured way. I have a lot of good still to do.

11. I would love to be a successful writer. Freelance. Articles, novels, anything.

12. I trust people too easily.

13. I have had a variety of jobs, including such delights as a cleaner, sales assistant, sales rep, dish washer, cook...the list could go on and on.

14. I have a gorgeous partner.

15. His family is huge, consisting of his mum, sister, 2 brothers, nephews, neices, aunts, cousins etc.

16. My family consists of my mum, dad, sister and nephew. I also have many cousins and aunts and uncles, some current and some not, due to marriages ending etc. But they are still family.

17. I have only ever had one serious relationship. Glad to say it is still going strong, and has so far lasted a whole decade.

18. I have been a member of various drama groups and performed in various theatrical productions.

19. I have had a poem published, when I was 16 years old.

20. I rarely drink.

21. I have never had a hangover.

22. If I am drinking, I enjoy lager, vodka, whiskey, various liqueurs...All in the same glass. Kidding. Maybe.

23. Food. Mmmmm. I like food from all over the world. Asian food is my favourite. Curry. Or anything Thai. Yum! Also really like a Chicken Maryland, from the UK, not Oz.

24. I hardly ever get ill. I used to have a lot of colds when I was very young, but now I am pretty healthy. Touch wood! Have never even broken a bone.

25. I have achieved a certificate of Level 1 British Sign Language.

26. I know I can learn or do anything I put my mind to.

27. I can knit.

28. I have been to a crematorium. I found it fascinating. It was all computerised, with the fumes being monitored to keep pollution at a minimum. I want to be cremated.

29. I am scared of being dead.

30. My toe next to my big toe, is my biggest toe. I have freak feet.

31. My ring finger is also longer than my index finger. This apparently is proof I am gay, and somehow related to increased levels of testosterone when I was developing as a fetus.

32. I have a fat toungue.

33. I have tattoos. I will probably get more.

34. I used to have piercings.

35. I want to lose about 6 stone in weight. I'd settle for 2.

36. I have insomnia. I have had insomnia since I was a child.

37. I don't iron. Even when I go somewhere important, I only iron the part of my shirt that people will see. This I do, knowing that however hot it gets, I can not take of my jacket, for fear the wrinkles are seen. Oh, the shame.

38. I wage war on all that has more than 4 legs. I also try my best to discourage anything with wings, as things can just get complicated.

39. Rude people make me angry.

40. The first album I bought myself was Whitney Houston, Bodyguard.

41. The first film I remember seeing at the cinema, was Pinocchio.

42. I love China Town, and am an expert with chopsticks.

43. I have never voted for any political party.

44. I cry at films. All of them.

45. I am 29. If I were an oven cooked meal, take me out when I am 32. I think that is when I'll be done.

46. I like to smell joop, sandalwood and fresh baking.

47. Miss Saigon was very special for me.

48. I would like to have kids.

49. I want to be my own boss.

50. I identify as a dog person, but have 2 cats that I love very much.
