As of today, we have had 11 years together.
The years get shorter as I get older, and now seem to shoot past quicker than ever. If time was water, and someone hadn't turned the tap off properly, I imagine each drop from the tap to be a year. Now it feels like those drops are dripping faster and faster. Might need to get a plumber in pretty soon.

I have mentioned this place before, I think. It is set high up in the hills, with Adelaide spreading out in all directions beneath it.
The restaurant curves out in a semi-circle from the steep hillside, and we were fortunate enough to get a window table with truly spectacular views of Adelaide. It was night time, and the city twinkled and winked from below. In the distance someone was setting off fireworks, and it was just lovely to look out over it all. Very pretty indeed.
We have been on a bit of a health kick recently, and doing pretty well. I lost 7 lbs of weight in less than a week! But we chose to throw caution to the wind and indulge ourselves.
This is the break down of our meal.
Entree
Double cooked souffle of asparagus and feta cheese. Warm roasted pencil leaks.
We also shared some "house made olive bread" that came with olive oil and goats curd.
Then we accepted the waiter's suggestion of some sorbet, in order to freshen our mouths for the food that was still to come.
Main
Sous vide and roasted free range duck legs Roast chateaubriand of beef
Side of Paris Potato Mash
Dessert
We shared a Chocolate Melange for Two, comprising of:
Mocca panna cotta
Hazelnut chocolate palet
White chocolate cheesecake
Chocolate mousse cornetto
White chocolate and butterscotch crème brûlée
Glace cherry and chocolate parfait
The food was truly delicious. We finished the evening with a satisfying coffee, as the waiter brought along some truffles and yet more chocolates as a gift from the restaurant for our anniversary. What a lovely touch! Exquisite!
The whole evening was a delight. Sam was driving and so was sensibly on the old OJ, but I enjoyed a few beers and there was also a brief appearance from my old flame - Strawberry Daiquiri.
The staff were friendly, and the waiter was particularly chatty and warm. He made us feel very comfortable and very pampered indeed. I couldn't fault Windy Point even if I wanted to.
Wonderful!
