Doona Day!

Wherever in the world you happen to be, while reading this, I hope you are having a great day.

My day has been pretty great. A day off, so that’s a good start.

It was cold this morning. Cold enough to make me get out of bed early and get my body moving. The day hasn’t warmed up any great deal, but it has been a lovely day nonetheless.

After a week or so of setting up web hosting accounts and wordpress themes and preferences, etc, etc, I have had time to relax and take stock. I relaxed yesterday too, to be honest. Yesterday morning I had a latte and a berry muffin, while chatting to my partner, watching the world go by from a trendy little cafe. It’s a good life.

I then had my hair cut by a very charming Italian man, with strong Roman features and a warm, deep voice.

We spent some time in Adelaide’s Art Gallery of South Australia, visited the State Library and enjoyed some delicious Korean food, before heading home and putting our feet up.

So you could say today has been a continuation of the same such “life of Riley” attitude. Most of my hours today have been played out on my couch, swaddled by my favourite blanket and surrounded by my cats, with their purring setting the tone.

Meanwhile, I have a chicken curry in the slow cooker, Sex And the City episodes running on the television and Facebook on in the background. Later, wine will make an appearance, as will some select dips to accompany the tiger bread I bought this morning.

As the Australians say, it’s been a bit of a Doona Day! (Those of you in other parts of the world should read “Doona” as “Duvet” or “Quilt”)

I had better keep an eye on the chicken curry. Bye for now.
