Of course, this young lady has not come out of nowhere. She has been acting since she was a child (now only in her early 20s), and reportedly delivered a PowerPoint presentation to her parents, persuading them to allow her to pursue acting as a full time career at 15 years old. Ambition! Gotta love it!
She is probably best known at this moment in time for her stunning performance in the movie "The Help", originally a book written by Kathryn Stockett. This emotive, insightful movie touched me on many levels, but more relevant to this post, simply made me fall in love with Emma Stone all the more.
Her performance was wonderful, from the subtleties of her inner conflicts, to her physical presence and on-screen collaborations, adding to the depth of the movie as a whole.
I thoroughly enjoyed her performances in "Easy A" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love", and with at least four more movies in the pipeline for her, I have no doubt they will not be the last ones I love. Her movie choices seem to strike that magical balance between being crowd pleasers, having an important message and being well produced and delivered!
Interviews I have seen, have shown her to be a grounded and warm person, who seems to really enjoy being alive.
Beautiful, relatable and "real", I can't wait to see what is next for her. I have noticed she is now the face for a cosmetics brand, which is only right for someone so beautiful. She was, after all, Maxim's 2011 number 42 in the top 100 hottest women list.
Having the right combination of qualities in the correct quantities, Emma is the perfect package, destined to be the stuff of legend. She is strong, yet vulnerable, pretty, yet sexy. I'm sure in a few years she will roll off the tongue as one of the best known gay icons, along with the likes of Doris Day and Cher. I can't help but think she is having the career Lyndsay Lohan should have had...
I'd love to meet Emma Stone, and perhaps even get the chance to act with her...and sometimes dreams do come true...sometimes.
