Breathing Earth - Depressing Or Inspiring?

Have you seen Breathing Earth?

This site shows a map of the world. You can see the birth and death rate of each country, the population of both each country and the whole world, and the corresponding carbon footprint.

It shows, in a very easy to understand manner, how the world is being compromised by the ever growing human population. The world is not JUST a resource, but a living, BREATHING, being.

Some people will be depressed by this site, in that we humans may be seen as savaging the earth. Perhaps this is a mirror which is simply being held up to us.

I hope it inspires and motivates us as a race. Not only should we try to minimise our carbon footprint, which can also save us money, but we should also consider our population growth.

Previously I posted briefly about plans to reduce the number of children families have. But I think it is worth reiterating that more should be done to educate people as to if they should have a family at all. Are they too young? Are their lifestyles suitable for children? Or have they even fully considered children as a consequence of that illicit fumble? No glove, no love!
