I haven't posted for a long time.
Life has been too hectic. As you may or may not know, my other half and I are in the process of emigrating to the land down under.
We have had a car boot sale, and have been selling off our belongings piece by piece. Our house is looking surprisingly like a bomb site! It is still cluttered even though we have sold so many things.
We had four dogs. Two are with their new families. One of our remaining dogs, Astrid, had been re-homed. However, their little boy turned out to be allergic to dogs. So we have her back. Which is good, but also very hard, as we just have to go through giving her away all over again.
Astrid has a new home, and is leaving on Wednesday. Ben also has a new home waiting for him. He is going to be living on the beautiful south coast of England. He will probably be leaving us over the next couple of weeks.
On top of this, we are still wading our way through the immigration process itself. We are one step closer now. I simply need to register in Oz as a nurse, and then the visa can be processed. This part is apparently relatively quick, sometimes taking less than four weeks.
As you can imagine, we are feeling pretty stressed. In actual fact, we are dealing with life very well, considering.
Today, however, was another blip in our on going drama of life. Our neighbours were evidently enjoying a football game, with all their shouting, cheering and jeering. Out of the blue, a knock came at the door. Two men were there and were clearly under the influence...of something!
The other half had answered the door and couldn't quite make out what they were saying. Something to do with our four dogs barking apparently had annoyed them. (Remember we haven't had four dogs for....maybe six weeks or thereabouts).
Then they threatened Sam and tried to enter our house. We locked the door and called the police, who decided to treat it as a noisy neighbour complaint. A noisy neighbour complaint?
They tried to enter our house...What would have happened if they had managed to gain entry?
Well, best we didn't find out.
I will try and keep you updated. At the very least I will try to post more often. Please understand though, that if I don't, life is up in the air for us at the moment.
