Conditioned

On this blog I have mentioned various conspiracies.

Some may have more truth than others. However, I enjoy learning about conspiracies as it helps me open my eyes to what could be.

In a round about way, learning about conspiracy theories, I think, makes me more able to use my mind and my judgement. I can decide what I believe, without any persuasion from others.

It is easy, and quite lazy, of us to believe everything we are told. Lies, exaggerations and half-truths are common. Sometimes deliberate, sometimes not. People, our world population, society itself, could be at the heart of the biggest conspiracy theory ever.

I often feel I have been programmed by society, by those around me. By the T.V. By the newspapers. Societal dogma is dangerous. It could rob us of our souls.

Society and culture is mind control, full and proper.

From birth we are educated (indoctrinated) into how we should behave, how we should think. We are well aware of what is expected of us. To an extent I see this as necessary, to ensure a child's safety (don't touch that fire, it is burny burny). But where does this "control" stop? It doesn't.

Even the most independent of thinkers, those with minds and wills powerful enough to rise above the average human being, will conform. To survive we have to conform. We must pay our taxes. We attend school and are encouraged to be a part of "the group".

More powerful than societal conditioning, is self conditioning. We exert influences upon ourselves, in order to fulfil our role. The illusion is that we are part of the system, and so we are safe and fulfilling our purpose.

We are told we will be lonely without friends. This does not have to be true. We are told we will go to jail if we do not pay taxes and fines, that our freedom will be taken away. Do we really have freedom?

At the core of society, people are shaping the thoughts, feelings and actions of others. Tradition is a powerful tool. It allows people to feel part of something bigger. It empowers the notion that "this is the way it has always been", and therefore must be what we should do too.

* We should not question. We should not doubt. *

If I express an opinion, why do others invariably feel the need to list all the reasons why my opinion is not correct. I feel steered back on to the path.

Do not accept things at face value. Look past the face.

*Beauty is dangerous, as it allows the real monsters to hide out in the open.*

Question everything. You do not have to be argumentative, or pedantic. Simply use your own judgement. Be assertive. If you agree with something, fine. But do not agree with something, simply for an easy life. This is not how to achieve peace of mind, this is in fact how to enforce weakness of mind.
