Is Disney Evil?

Disney. All things fun and fluffy. Or maybe not. Even Disney may have a dark underbelly.

No one is allowed to be declared dead while on Disney property. Wouldn't be good for their image, would it?

Disney parks have a myriad of secret tunnels and surveillance cameras.

There is a secret "Club 33" in Disneyland, selling strong alcoholic spirits.

During the filming of the 1958 Disney nature documentary White Wilderness, the film crew induced lemmings into jumping off a cliff and into the sea in order to document their supposedly suicidal behavior.

Animaters appear to enjoy being naughty. But it isn't appropriate in films aimed at children. The photographic image of a topless woman can be spotted in the background of The Rescuers, in a window, as the main characters pass by.

There is an image of a penis on the castle in The Little Mermaid.

When Jessica, in Who Framed Rodger Rabbit?, is thrown from the taxi, there are a few frames when her dress parts to reveal her vagina.

Disney produced an animated film called The Story of Menstruation.

Disney products are made in sweatshops using child labour. Da Nang City, Vietnam has one such sweatshop. Children here are said to earn 6 cents per hour, working 10 hours per day, 7 days per week. Other Disney sweatshops are reported in Indonesia and even America. Yes, America, in Los Angeles.

That is no life for a child. A child who should be watching the latest Disney feature at a cinema...

If you are taking children to Disneyland, be careful. It is well known that paedophiles, looking for more opportunities to gain access to children, manoeuvre themselves into positions where this is likely.

Do Disney carry out checks? Do people get vetted? Disney has been reported as stating this would be too timely and costly. The safety of our children seems not as important to Disney as their profit margin is.

There have been numerous cases of staff being caught spying on people in changing rooms, or grooming kids via the Internet (Irwin - Winnie The Poo), but Disney appears to prefer to transfer staff, as opposed to firing them and having them charged. It would be bad for their image!?

Out of court settlements, denials and cover-ups seem to punctuate Disney's reputation.

Wholesome family fun, and Disney? Might not be the same thing after all.
