We do not, currently, have a working car. Although we do not need much in the way of groceries, it is still a chore to carry bags of shopping home from the local shopping centre. Abracadabra - Sam purchased a shopping trolley.
Now, in the UK, only old (older) people have such accessories. But, in Adelaide, they seem a common, and useful, item. Particularly if you go to any of the many cheap markets for bargains of fresh fruit and veg.
Sam almost bought a washed-out-brown coloured shopping trolley. Thankfully, in the name all that is good, I persuaded him to purchase the very sexy and dashing black.
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend a whirl wind tour of a psychiatric hospital museum. The history of psychiatric illness and treatments, generally, and more specifically in South Australia, was very interesting. I included some pictures -

I believe the brown box in this picture contains the very first ECT machine to be built in Australia.
Glenside Hospital, and a close up of the clock tower (I was allowed up on the roof as part of the tour. It was a great experience).

So what else have I been up to? Well, I finished my SK book days ago. The Dark Half was really very good, and unlike some of King's work, very easy to read.
And then there is Pru. Prudence is a Burmese cross cat, of approximately 4 months.
We got in touch with a particularly passionate "cat lady" (affectionately meant). This lady has made it her mission to help reduce cruelty to and maltreatment of cats in Adelaide. She told us that roughly 200 unwanted kittens and cats are destroyed every week in South Australia. How utterly sad.
