Janet, Pauline And Buddha Bar!

Our friend Janet is over from the UK. She has family here and so came over to visit. What a good opportunity to meet up! 10,000 miles does not make it easy to meet up for a chat/gossip/meal/drinks.Pauline, Janet's sister, came over too.We thought we would show them China Town, go for a meal and show them around a little.

We discovered Buddha Bar!!

I had heard about it, but didn't know how much fun it was. In the UK a karaoke means you tend to stand at the bar, watching a screen, with microphone. Everyone can see you.

There are theme rooms, that you and your friends can hire privately, for karaoke. You can sing, have fun, and not be self-conscious because 100 strangers are watching you. Each room is set up with it's own equipment. When we were given a tour by the staff, it was like another world. We half expected exotic dancers to appear from behind the curtains. It was such a good night, and it was so good to see Janet again.
