Finally, Some Furniture!

Just a quick update folks.

For the longest time, we have lived in our house with minimal furniture.

We had the basics. A bed. A couch. A television. We then splashed out and bought a microwave. Ha!

We lived, in this fashion, minimally, for about 5 months.

In October we paid for a furniture package. Furniture can be really cheap in Australia, if you know where to look. Only now, all these months later, has some of it arrived. Yes, only some, but at least we got something.

We now can boast a dining table and accompanying chairs, entertainment unit, coffee table, lamp table and extra bed. We are still waiting on the actual lounge suite. We have been told that it will arrive in February at some point. I really hope it will be sooner rather than later.

The couch we have at the moment is pleasant enough to look at, but is not entirely comfortable enough to stretch out on and really relax. Our suite, which is faithfully paid in full and hopefully on it's way, is a full recliner suite. It is fabulous. I am really excited about having actual furniture in our house.

I even went out and bought a fairly expensive lamp. I won't divulge how much, as I am sure Sam would not be overly impressed. Ssshhh.

But it does look good. Aesthetics are worth a little more, aren't they?

I might get round to posting some pics of the house, with actual, real furniture. It looks pretty good so far. I just need to tidy up the boxes and wrapping that everything came in.

The cats are also loving it. They now have many more places to play on and hide in. I am sure they think these pieces or furniture have been bought entirely and solely for them.

Who am I to correct them? Ha!

I don't mind. They are good cats. They haven't damaged anything in the house at all. Well, yet.
