I Am Special

I am special.

I am perfect.

I know I am.

I was telling people a few days ago all about it. They were polite, but I could see there was some discomfort among them. I would expect the same discomfort to be noted in people when they are in the presence of any great person.

It can be overwhelming for some folks.

I spoke, and they listened.

I talked about how, for example, I was born on a Thursday.

"Thursday's child has far to go."

I know I have a great future ahead of me. I will go far, I know it. I have already travelled 10,000 miles, to Oz!

When I was born I had beautiful skin, smooth and the colour of caramac, a UK chocolate bar. I was actually jaundiced, but nonetheless I was beautiful.

I was perfect.

I was 7 pounds and 14 ounces, which is pretty much a perfect weight.

I was born at 7.56 am, just in time for breakfast. Perfect!

Mary Poppins would possibly make comment that I too am practically perfect in every way.

I was also born one week late, which actually means I was exactly on time. People speak of nine months being the duration of the average human pregnancy, but the truth is nine months and a week, is the average length of a pregnancy.

When I was born, I had a small red mark on my forehead, just over my third eye, a sign of how special I am.

I was born, as previously blogged, in the hour of the dragon, month of the crab and year of the monkey, all powerful symbols of the immensely magical connection I have with the universe.

I was walking from 10 months. Early for a boy.

I have excellent hearing - super hero hearing.

Strange things happen to me that shouldn't happen. I remember I had a car door shut on my hand. I could wiggle my fingers while still shut in the door. When the door was finally opened, I had no broken bones, no bruises, nothing. In fact, I have never broken a bone.

I am 18 stone, and can still touch the floor without bending my knees, from a standing position.

My big toe, is not my biggest toe. The one next to it is. I think this gives me my excellent skill of balance. Yes, I am a freak, but at least I don't fall over often.

I'm gay. Gay people help the human race to evolve. I am helping you, dear reader. And it's effortless.

We gay people, generally, don't have kids. We don't take maternity leave. We allow other members of society to have kids, while not letting society suffer because of it. We are a huge percentage of the world's work force, that will not have to take time off with sick kids, or to go see a show, or to attend a traumatising parents' evening at school.

We are ready made babysitters for our nieces and nephews, allowing our siblings, the "breeders", to contribute to society earlier than otherwise would be possible.

Gay people are also believed by some to have a naturally higher rate of vibration due to the "marriage" of male and female energies in the one physical body. Aboriginal people refer to gay people as "2 spirit people". Historically gay people have helped the spiritual and artistic dimensions of humanity evolve as well.

My name means "Beloved Sun", beautiful, powerful and life-giving.

I am a nurse. A healer.

I can sing. I can act. ( I didn't say I was good.) I can learn any skill I put my mind to.

I make people laugh. Sometimes I am even funny.

I am kind. I am loving. I am a big softy and I am hard as nails (the anti-rust kind).

Aliens crossed galaxies to visit me.

Yes, I am special.

Do you hate me? Don't hate me because I am pretty...

Hate me because I am egotistical.

We are all special. So, what makes you so special?

It would seem you were destined to live a charmed life, friend...although what you've done in the meantime (i.e., become a healer) has contributed in a big way, too. I reckon that's life; fortuitous combination of circumstances and effort.

Thank you Postman.

My life is complicated and fun, all at once. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I hope you are enjoying life too.

I was born on a Thursday as well! I too have travelled far but not as far as you ;)

I love all your pro-Gay arguments, very clever! Although I didn't need convincing its nice to read them. The 2-spirit-people idea is beautiful, actually.

Fun post!

And you are cute as a bug!

See! I knew I felt the love from you Momma.

Michelloui, thank you for your beautiful words.

I think the Aboriginal people have it down. They know more about this world than I do. A lot of magic and wisdom in their hearts and souls.

Yep! Us Thursday kids should stick together x

I was also 7lbs, 14oz. at birth. I don't know what time I was born (I was adopted and even though I know my bio mom, she can't remember the exact time), I believe year of the monkey (1968) and lead a charmed life.

It's nice to "meet" you, friend. :-)

Star Child,

I love you, and love your post, you ARE special!! So glad I clicked over from Postman's neck of the woods.

One of my favorite books is Mutant's Message from Down Under. The aborigines are truly wise and all-knowing. You are a healer, oh, two-spirited one.

You are also part of my walk, child of stars, though I don't know how or why. I guess, like with all things, time will tell.

Hi Rebel, I will have a look at your link.

Yes, we are all a part of each other's walk. Such a nice way to word it.

Evil Twin's Wife, thank you for your comment.

Do you know if you were born in the morning?

You were born the same year as cool people like Patsy Kensit, Ricki Lake and Kylie Monogue.

Very cool.

AND you live in my most favorite place in the world. Seriously special.

Adelaide or Australia?

Nice to "meet" you KB.

Egotistical? No. It's your blog and you can say whatever you want.

Wish I could heal. I pass out at the sight of blood. It’s happened 3 times. Embarrassing.

Whacked Daddy - You are a Dad.

Not many things better than that!

Australia, though I do like Adelaide, even though I've only spent a couple of days actually in the city itself. I did a meditation retreat in the Tara Hills last September which I especially enjoyed.

Oh, cool, KB!

So any plans to come back?

kbxmas said...

Always. Coming back in 2011. If you're interested in why I love it so much you can read about My Big Australian Crush:

I will have a look right now!

Thanks KB.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my post. It went to comment moderation and when I published it, it disappeared into the ethers, never to return. So I think I must have done something boneheaded like accidentally hit delete? Eek. Sorry. :-( But it was a nice comment!

LOL

That's Okay.

It was a nice post.

There is so much to Oz, it's amazing!

I am having fun discovering it's treasures.
