People do stare at me, a lot. I never know why. I am not sure if they even know why.
A few days ago, I was having breakfast with Sam in a lovely cafe, when a woman walked by, and was so caught up in staring at me, that her neck was visibly strained. We made eye contact, and she looked as though she were being quite hostile. It was very odd.
This is one example of something that often happens to me.
Well, today I was with Sam, walking through a mall, when a woman, not unlike Betty White, stopped us. She asked if we were brothers. We said that we were not, and tried to continue on our way. She asked if we were twins. When we said we were not, her response was -
" Bullshit!"
We laughed, and so did she. But we know she is convinced that we are indeed brothers.
We went on our way and headed to a noodle bar. Sam had some work related stuff to do, and so, not having had dinner, we popped into the noodle bar for a quick snack, for the sake of convenience. The man serving us asked....yes, you guessed it - "Are you guys brothers?"
So, I think one reason why people stare, particularly when I am with Sam, is because people are trying to work out if we are twins. But to me this doesn't make much sense. I don't think we look alike.

But they stare when I am on my own too. I find it very disconcerting.
Why do you think it is? (One boss I had, a long time ago, told me people watched me because I didn't move my arms when I walked. I do move my arms. I think he was completely mad).
And I am not imagining it.

You do favor one another a bit, but I wouldn't say brothers, maybe cousins? People stare at me all the time too. I think it's because I'm tall for a girl.
I think they may stare because you are both very handsome looking men !
Not so much alike as twins, but could pass as cousins ?
I get stared at also, but mostly because I am often mistaken for a couple of other ladies in town, who are a teacher, and a hairdresser, and I can see the people trying to figure out, if I'm one of them..lol

I've always had the same issue - people often stare at me. I never really gave it much thought, but one day I asked my boss (at the time) why she thought it was the case. She gave me a long story about how our overall appearance and demeanor had a lot to do with how others interacted with us socially and that for me particularly it was my face and body language that drew people in. Not in the context of being so darn good looking, but that my face and body language was very inviting to people... I was approachable. Go figure...
I don’t get crazy stares though… I think I would be somewhat of a crazy person if someone gave me a dirty look for no apparent reason. I would just SNAP!
