We celebrate our 18th, 21st and 30th birthdays with extra gusto. People often define their relationships, careers and hobbies, in part any way, in years. We take pleasure in remembering and sharing first steps, first words and first loves.
Most people share these sorts of milestones.
And then we have personal ones, which are unique to us.
I can hear you groan, as I say that this is another "weight loss post". Ha!
I reached a milestone today. That's how I see it.
Not only did I manage to slip on a shirt I haven't worn for over a year, it was kinda roomy! That was milestone number one today.
My second milestone today was being able to sit on my bike, that I bought 18 months ago, and sit on it without the tyres going flat. That's how fat I was. I couldn't even sit on a mountain bike!
Well now I can. And tonight we went for a walk, a jog and a ride on my bike.
I am currently 17 stones and 3 lbs, down from 19 stones and 9 lbs on 3rd of January this year. Two and a half stone. It's still slow, but the weight is decreasing. Now that I know I can use my bike, it might start coming off a bit quicker. I hope.
My aim for the end of this week is to be under 17 stone. Wish me well, kind people, wish me well.

I'm not sure what a stone weighs, but I think I may have found it! I'm shipping it back!
