Bruno Mars, born in Honolulu as Peter Hernandez, was playing to Adelaide's youngsters on Friday night.
I say that because Sam and I were the oldest people there. Well, there were some people that looked older, but they were clearly there accompanying their children and / or grandchildren. Bruno himself is 5 years younger than me. Yikes!
Feeling old aside, Bruno puts on a great live show. If you are not familiar with his work, here are a few YouTube videos to get you acquainted with his music.
The support band wasn't very good. They used the F-bomb more than a few times and seemed rather fond of saying sh*t. Being no prude, I still felt it inappropriate considering the average age of the audience being between 15 and 20 (that's how it appeared), with many being younger than that.
It's lemonade I'm drinking...Ssshh!
But Bruno was great value. He talked to the audience with great warmth and seemed to genuinely have a great time himself.
So that was Friday, and as Rebecca Black says, Saturday comes after that.
As ever, I have included some random photographs of our day.
Like big kids, we took great pleasure in jumping over rocks on Granite Island, taking obligatory "posed-for" shots.
There was a small boat, offering rides to go and see nearby seals and sea lions. It was getting a bit chilly by that point and so we decided against it. There is always next time!
We had ice-cream cones though. Any true fan of ice-cream knows it is never too chilly for a cone topped with your favourite flavours.
Then we strolled back across to the mainland to have some lunch. If nothing else, we are very good to ourselves.
Some possible choices with regards a customised postcard here I think.....
Might need to get the old photoshop software out....
