This was fun!
We went along to Adelaide's Psychic Expo today.
I have only been to one before, and was looking forward to this.
It is only on for one day, and as expected, there were crowds of people.
There were crystals, incense and books for sale.
There were people laying hands on others to heal them, and people reading palms, cards and futures all around me.
There was a buzz and excitement in the air, a tangible feeling of general anticipation.
Upstairs there were organised workshops, for those wishing to learn more about the world of psychic ability.
We chose to spend our time downstairs, and try and get a reading.
There were queues for most of the psychics.
The first woman I felt comfortable with approaching (you need to feel a connection!), turned me away. Unfortunately she had an appointment made for someone else and was faithfully keeping it. I appreciated her integrity, but was disappointed as she looked like she gave good readings.
She was older than me, though it was hard to guess what age she was, and genuinely dark and mysterious looking. She looked like the romantic image I have of a gypsy woman, who provides such services.
However, it wasn't meant to be.
Then I found Maggie.
This lady had a familiar air around her. I couldn't put it into words, but I did feel comfortable with her.
She was maybe in her 40's, blond and had a kind face.
The reading was a mix of her intuition, messages from the other side, and included the use of a couple of different sets of cards. One of which was Tarot.
I have to say she was pretty spot on with everything she said. There was some general stuff that would apply to anyone, but most of it was fairly specific, and I tried not to feed her any information. I was impressed.
She told me I had psychic abilities, which she knew I wasn't using. She told me I had an incredible power to heal, as well as "the sight". I was advised this path would open up before me and I would have the chance to develop and use my gifts. I did previously have a Tarot pack, and I did do some healing. But life often has it's own plan for you. I previously posted about some of my experiences with seeing things that others couldn't see.
However, I have been thinking lately about revisiting that part of myself. We will see.
Maggie told me what job I had, and the client type I worked with.
I was told a lot of different things that were correct, about my past and my future, but I don't want to disclose it all on a public blog. Needless to say, I was impressed.
Sam also managed to obtain a reading, from a different lady. What was interesting, was that a lot of what I was told, he was also told. We had the same discussions, basically, but with two different people. Interesting indeed.
Afterwards, I felt energised and very positive. Life is good!
What I want to know is -
Have you had a psychic reading?
Was it what you expected?
Do you believe in psychic ability?

I really do think I am going to look at that part of myself again. Some of the things I was told...well, it all makes sense.
Give her a call. It might help you get a new perspective on your life. Couldn't hurt.

I've never had a reading done, but always wanted to.
As for experiences... I've had the usual where I think of someone and they call. I think of a song and it comes on the radio. Or I decide to call someone, only to find them in need of a friend right then.
Also, sometimes I find that I know things, and I really shouldn't.
Verdict still out on this, but it intriques me. I think there are good ones and phonies. I would like to run into someone that is psychic some day, but we don't have anything like that here. Have to go out of state.
On another note, we have had some psychics come forward on cases, but it never panned out, but I did follow their leads.
There is an energy healer I work with occasionally who is also psychic and she is pretty spot on, amazingly so sometimes, and she also has a lot of integrity. I'm pretty skeptical of some people who claim to be psychic. I think we should always trust our own instincts first.
Good to see you have a fairly open mind. I have heard of psychics helping with police cases, but I can't say I know how helpful they really ever are.
I might do a reading for you one day...

My grandmother and mother had gifts; when my mother rang me on the phone I always knew it was her - the second before it would ring, her voice would be in my head so I'd just pick up the phone with "Hi Mom!" though we had no caller ID. Freaked my husband out but my mother and I never thought anything of it -- and that's the whole extent of my 'abilities' that have ever appeared ROFL.
I would love to sit down with someone like your Maggie, who seems to see things pretty clearly. Are you making any changes or new decisions after talking to her?

I definately believe there are some people who have those abilities.
I'm too scared to ever have a reading done, I don't want to know the bad things to come, & I've always had a gut feeling that there are bad things that would be seen, you know?
I'd prefer to just leave it all alone & not tempt fate.
